2007 Season Review: Decker won the first of his four Advance Auto Parts Series races at Cornwall Motor Speedway in late July to vault into third-place in tour points where he would remain to chase front runners Brett Hearn and Tim Fuller for the rest of the season. Continuing to be a solid contender in all 32 Big-Block tour stops, the ‘Franklin Flyer’ added three more extra-distances wins at New Egypt Speedway, Cayuga County Fair Speedway and Rolling Wheels Raceway Park to rank second behind only eventual Mr. DIRTcar titlist Hearn on the final 2008 series win chart. While copping the most tour heat races (10), he tallied 16 front-five and 24 top-10 feature finishes driving for car owner John Wight for a fourth straight year while posting an Advance Series best six fast qualifying times with a record set at Canandaigua Speedway for a second straight season to secure third position in the final overall Hoosier Tire Mr. DIRTcar Modified points chase. He also scored seven Big-Block feature wins at six tracks in New York, New Jersey and the Canadian province of Ontario to close out his 22nd season of open-wheel racing on the DIRTcar NorthEast circuit.

Advance Auto Parts Series History: While racking up a total of 39 career Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series victories which ranks him 5th all-time, Decker has gained national prominence by copping four televised Eckerd 200 Championships held at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse during Super DIRT Week. The overall 1998 Hoosier Tire Mr. DIRTcar Modified Champion has also added four Lebanon Valley 200 titles and a pair of Rolling Wheels National 200 triumphs to his resume, with Orange County’s Eastern States 200 trophy in 1998 among his most prized possessions. Second all-time with 32 Integra Shocks Fast Times set in qualifying, Decker owns six track Modified speed marks including the single lap record of 28.348 sec. (126.993 mph ave.) on the Syracuse Mile established in 2004.

DIRTcar Racing Record: Decker has posted 150 Big-Block feature wins since graduating from the small-block ranks in 1985 and has garnered 10 individual DIRTcar track championships in the Empire State, 3-Cayuga County, 3-Brewerton, 2-Lebanon Valley, 1-Canandaigua, 1-Rolling Wheels. The 1998 DIRTcar NorthEast Driver of the Year led all Big-Block chauffeurs that same season wit 18 feature wins and pulled off a ‘Triple Decker’ with track point titles collected at Canandaigua, Cayuga County and Brewerton.

Fun Fact: DIRTcar NorthEast’s most frequent flier, Decker often charters a small airplane to and from Advance Series events, enabling him to put in a full day at the office while being back in time to open shop the next morning!
